IT Consulting-HR Officer, Database Administrators
We're a a leading Information Technology Consulting firm based in Abuja. We are looking for exceptional individuals to fill the following open positions.
HR Officer
Senior HR Officer involved in recruitment, appraisals, personnel management, personnel development, promotions, discipline, etc. for a 100 person IT consulting firm. Must have requisite HR qualifications and a minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar or more challenging role. Knowledge of Human Resources Processes and any HR Automation Software is a plus. Experience with Organizational Performance Management, Employee Motivation and Retention and Employee Benefits Administration will be an added advantage. Pay is attractive and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Database Administrators
Junior database administrators experienced in Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 or MySQL on Windows, Linux or any Unix Platforms. Should have a minimum 2 years experience with database planning, installations, routine administration, tuning, backup and recovery, data migration and support in a production or development environment. Experience of maintaining web databases is a plus. Experience of multiple platforms is a definite plus. Certifications such as OCA, OCP, MCDBA, or any equivalent industry recognized certification will be an added advantage. Experience with database clustering and setup of high availability environments will be a distinct added advantage. Pay is attractive and commensurate with experience.
Database Developers
We are looking for database developers with at least 2 years experience and knowledge of analysis models such as ERDs, DFDs, FHDs/FCDs, database design, development of database and schema creation scripts, development of database routines such as triggers and stored procedures, development of front-end forms and development of data migration routines. Must have strong SQL and transact SQL/PL SQL skills. Experience with multiple database platforms and multiple operating systems is an added advantage. Knowledge or PERL, PYTHON or any backend scripting language will be a distinct added advantage. Pay is attractive and commensurate with experience.
Software Developers
We're looking for software and firmware developers with at least 3 years of proven work experience developing C, C++, Java, C# or equivalent 3GL language. You must have strong analysis and design skills, strong code development skills, unit testing, integration testing, code documentation and installation packaging and software training in a production environment. You should have an engineering background and related degree qualifications. Experience with test software, testing automation and version control software will be a distinct added advantage. Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle and systems development methodologies such as MSF or equivalent will be an added advantage. Experience developing web-based applications will be an added advantage. Any certifications such as SCJP or MSITS will be an added advantage. Pay is attractive and commensurate with experience.
Systems Administrators
We are looking for System Administrators and System Engineers with experience of design, planning, installation, troubleshooting and support of enterprise Operating Systems, Directory Services, Messaging & Collaboration Platforms and Systems/Network Management software. Candidates will have a minimum of 3 years experience of equivalent technologies and have specialisation in a specific platform such as Microsoft, IBM, Linux or Other. Knowledge of advance server and storage configurations such as clustering and high availability will be a distinct advantage. Candidates should have or should be in pursuit of requisite certifications such as MCSE or RHCE with the necessary specializations such as exchange or lotus. Operating Systems of interest include: Windows 2003 and 2008, RHES and RHAS 5.0, Novell Suse Linux, AIX. Experience configuring Active Directory or LDAP or any directory services, experience configuring MS Exchange 2003/2007 or Domino/Notes, experience with System Essentials/SCOM or Tivoli Enterprise Manager are required for this position. Pay is attractive and commensurate with experience.
