It is a customer-focused technical resource, combining technical expertise with business and consumer know-how to support brand services, engineering & process development, risk management, brand quality and science & technology. Types of roles in this function include risk managers, project scientists, brand services managers, quality managers and advisers, technicians, technical analysts, development technologists, and engineers.Supply chainOur teams in this function work together to improve the speed, agility and responsiveness of our supply chain. Collectively they are responsible for producing, packaging and distributing a wide range of high quality premium brands. Types of roles in this function include production shift managers, team leaders and operators, logistics coordinators and planners, site managers, distribution managers, supply chain process improvement specialists and market supply managers.Information systemsThe vision for the Diageo IS function is 'A Global community of professionals, passionate about creating value for Diageo by driving exceptional business performance through the design and delivery of integrated processes, systems and data, and passionate about driving down total costs through excellence in service delivery'. As business partners, the IS team work with leadership teams to identify the areas where process improvements add value and then help deliver these through excellent project & change management.Typical roles in Africa region include in-market roles such as business analyst, project manager, business systems manager, service management and IS Director as well as central roles that provide support for capability building and managing pan-African projects where appropriate.FinanceThe finance function within Diageo has a mission to be 'great business partners driving great business performance'. As business partners, the finance team works with leadership teams to manage and report the performance of the business, champion rigour in decision making and identify and mitigate risks, while seeking out commercial opportunities to add value for the organisation.Typical roles would include in-market positions (ranging from planning and reporting analysts to finance directors) as well as a central business support function which provides dedicated experts to partner markets in the delivery of strategic projects and initiatives. In addition, there are a number of more specialist functions, including treasury, tax and business risk assurance.Human resourcesSince 'releasing the potential of every employee' is a strategic imperative for Diageo, the human resources function plays a key role within the company.
